In this talk, an introduction to keV sterile neutrinos as Dark Matter particles is
given. After reviewing the cosmological aspects of (Warm) Dark Matter, I will
explain why the topic is interesting for particle physics model building and also
point out the differences to ordinary neutrino model building. We will go through a
couple of generic models, all of which yield interesting and fundamental connections
between the neutrino and the Dark Matter sectors. We finally present some
alternative ideas and generalizations.
This talk is part of the HEP phenomenology joint Cavendish-DAMTP seminar series.
