Recently methods have been developed to `resum’ double logarithmically enhanced contributions (ie calculate such contributions to all orders in perturbation theory) in inclusive deep inelastic scattering (DIS) and semi inclusive e+e- annihilation (SIA), in both the small-x (ie high energy) and large-x (ie threshold) limit. Such calculations rely on fixed order results as input, and lead to new results not captured by other existing methods. In this blackboard talk I shall outline this approach, using small-x DIS as our main example. Analytic and quantitative results (up to next-to-next-to-leading log accuracies) for both small-x DIS and SIA will be presented.
