The production of coloured supersymmetric particles is a very important SUSY discovery channel at the LHC . In this talk I will report on recent progress towards improving theoretical predictions for all squark and gluino pair-production processes in hadronic collisions. In particular, I will discuss the effects of multiple soft gluon emission and present the calculation of the threshold-resummed total cross sections at the next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy. Numerical predictions for these cross sections at hadron colliders, with a special emphasis on results for the 7 TeV LHC collider, will be
discussed.
