Since the groundbreaking discovery of the Higgs boson, the particle physics community has increasingly focused on precision measurements to deepen our understanding of fundamental interactions. On the theoretical side, this shift demands more accurate predictions, requiring higher-order perturbative corrections. In this talk, I will introduce the methods used to perform these advanced cross-section calculations, highlighting key techniques and challenges. I will also present state-of-the-art results for the Higgs production cross section, emphasizing their importance for ongoing and future experimental efforts.
This talk is part of the HEP phenomenology joint Cavendish-DAMTP seminar series.
