Abstract: The DGLAP equations describe how parton distribution functions evolve between different energy scales. In this talk, I will discuss how potential effects of New Physics, parametrised in terms of higher dimensional operators in the Standard Model Effective Field Theory, could affect these equations. We assess the importance of these operators in the calculation of the splitting functions, and their potential effects on the running of the strong coupling.
