In this talk, we will discuss some basic results on random geometric graphs on the hyperbolic plane. We will give an overview of this theory and, in particular, we will discuss the typical degree distribution of these random graphs and their connections with inhomogeneous random graphs. Furthermore, we will discuss their component structure and its evolution as a function of the parameters of the model.

This is joint work with Michel Bode and Tobias Mueller.

This talk is part of the Combinatorics Seminar series.
