Many of the conjectures in the Minimal Model Program are equivalent to the finite generation of some adjoint rings, which is known to hold in the case of big boundaries. The aim of this talk is to present a new plan to obtain an effective version of some of these results, which depends on the topology of the underlying varieties.

This talk is part of the Differential Geometry and Topology Seminar series.
