Interpolating the Jacquet-Langlands correspondence - an example of p-adic Langlands functoriality

I will give an introduction to some aspects of the p-adic Langlands programme, and discuss a geometric construction allowing one to p-adically interpolate Langlands functoriality between automorphic forms on the multiplicative group of a quaternion algebra and modular forms.
