If you have a question about this talk, please contact Rong Zhou. In this talk, I will report on my work in progress towards modularity of odd two-dimensional `non-cohomological’ Galois representations over totally real fields in (hopefully) two different contexts: (1) the geometric Serre weight conjecture (i.e. mod p Galois representations), as recently formulated in my joint work with F. Diamond and (2) the Fontaine-Mazur conjecture (i.e. p-adic Galois representations). The first part is joint work in progress with F. Diamond. This talk is part of the Number Theory Seminar series.
