Abstract: This talk centres on “symmetry protected low-scale seesaw models”, minimal extensions of the Standard Model and motivated by neutrino oscillations. A comprehensive overview over past, present, and future searches for heavy neutrinos at particle colliders is presented. Moreover, opportunities of testing this class of models at neutrino experiments are discussed, with emphasis on the MiniBooNE anomaly. Last but not least, the concept of using cosmic rays for new physics searches is outlined.

This talk is part of the HEP phenomenology joint Cavendish-DAMTP seminar series.
