If you have a question about this talk, please contact Jessica Fintzen. We present the Langlands-Shahidi method over function fields, which allows us to study automorphic L-functions for what can be called LS representations r. These L-functions arise in the context of a pair (G,M) of quasi-split connected reductive groups, where M is the Levi subgroup of a maximal parabolic P of G, and a globally generic cuspidal automorphic representation of M. We will go over their main properties, local interconnections via the Kazhdan transfer, rationality and holomorphy results. Furthermore, thanks to the results of L. Lafforgue and V. Lafforgue, we provide applications to the generalized Ramanujan Conjecture and Riemann Hypothesis over function fields. This talk is part of the Number Theory Seminar series.
