I will review the wavefunctional approach to cosmological perturbations, with an emphasis in perturbations of a de Sitter background. As applications that are of interest in inflationary cosmology, this approach allows one to determine, up to a few constants, all three point functions of gravitational waves in de Sitter space. It also gives an alternative point of view on the inflationary consistency conditions, which relate the local non-gaussianity to the power spectrum. It is also the natural framework to understand the analogies between AdS/CFT and dS/CFT.
