If you have a question about this talk, please contact Sean Moss.

In this talk, we will give an overview of the basic theory of monoidal categories with a particular emphasis on the categories of monoids/comonoids and modules/comodules. We will discuss the various notions of monoidal functors and their properties, and spend some time on the free monoid construction vs cofree comonoid construction. Time permitting, we will have a look at enrichment relations that arise between these categories of ‘dual flavor’.

This talk is part of the Junior Category Theory Seminar series.
