In recent years there has been renewed interest in localisation theory for symplectic varieties. Such a theory shows that the representation theory of certain algebras is the same as the study of categories of sheaves of modules on a symplectic variety. In joint work with Bellamy, Dodd and Nevins, we start such a study for symplectic varieties equipped with an ’’elliptic’’ action of the multiplicative. Our main result gives a kind of categorification of the Bialynicki-Birula cell decomposition of such a variety.
