If you have a question about this talk, please contact Guilherme Lima de Carvalho e Silva.

The talk will have a little bit of everything: monoidal categories, enriched categories (and 2-categories), categories of monoids/comonoids, categories of modules/comodules… Emphasis will be given at different kind of notions of functors between monoidal categories and interesting results regarding lax/colax functors and monoidal adjunctions, 2-cells and pasting operations, “change of base” for enriched categories, restriction and corestriction of scalars for modules/comodules and applications in R-Mod.

Rather than sticking to definitions and axioms, a more relaxed approach will be favoured on these topics, leading to an understanding of their properties and use in different situations.

This talk is part of the Junior Category Theory Seminar series.
