Magnetic fields are known to be present on very large scales in the universe. However their origin is still debated and a possibility would be from amplification of a seed magnetic field generated in the early universe. I will review how vortical currents generated around the protons-electrons recombination (z around 1000) can be responsible for the creation of such seed field and I will discuss numerical results about its amplitude.
