If you have a question about this talk, please contact Oscar Randal-Williams. I will explain a computation, in a range, of the stable rational cohomology of the moduli space of connected sums of Sk × Sl, extending work of Ebert–Reinhold. A particular emphasis will be placed on the methods involved; this includes work joint with Berglund on a certain type of algebraic model for the titular block diffeomorphisms (inspired by results of Berglund–Zeman), as well as graph complexes à la Kontsevich.
