I will discuss the recent developments in codimension-2 brane cosmology. In particular, I will show that the inclusion of a Gauss-Bonnet bulk term can give rise to a consistent and closed set of cosmological equations on the brane. The Friedmann equation is modified by additional non-standard contributions of the energy density. The Gauss-Bonnet coupling results to a late period of (self)-acceleration.
