If you have a question about this talk, please contact Cong Xue. Nekovář and Scholl’s plectic conjectures predict that Shimura varieties attached to algebraic groups arising via restriction of scalars should be endowed with extra symmetry. I will discuss a geometric interpretation of plectic phenomena in positive and mixed characteristic, which rests on the relation between plectic objects and moduli spaces of Shtukas with several legs.
