If you have a question about this talk, please contact Ariane Trescases. Consider the steady Boltzmann equation on a bounded domain for soft potentials, and assume the diffuse reflection boundary with a non-isothermal wall temperature. In the talk, I will discuss the existence of the stationary solution as well as its dynamical stability. The main efforts in the analysis are made to treat difficulties from the lack of spectral gap for soft intermolecular interaction potentials.
