Abstract: Thompson’s group F is a well-known example of a finitely presented infinite group. We discuss it as a rearrangement group of a fractal (Belk, Forrest 2016). We present a new generating set, and subsequently a new normal form, for it – with the aim of generalizing this presentation for the wider class of rearrangement groups.
