If you have a question about this talk, please contact Marco Nardecchia.

I will introduce the topic exotic hadron spectroscopy through experimental facts and theoretical interpretations. The proliferation of the X, Y, Z resonances, the very recent discovery of Pentaquark states and the existence of seemingly contradictory pictures to explain their nature, reflects the ignorance about the exact solutions of non-perturbative QCD . I will mostly concentrate on theoretical open questions.

This talk is part of the HEP phenomenology joint Cavendish-DAMTP seminar series.
