In this talk we shall discuss some novel developments on variational regularization methods for inverse problems, with a particular focus on sparse reconstructions.

We discuss some novel tools in the understanding of bias introduced by regularizations, asymptotic properties of sparsity regularization as the number of degrees of freedom increases, and finally some novel regularization techniques for 3D and 4D imaging.

This talk is part of the Applied and Computational Analysis series.
