I will discuss applications of the microlocal calculus to the study of the dispersion and of the controllability of the Schrödinger equation on flat tori (joint work with Fabricio Macia). I will also indicate consequences on the speed of decay of the energy in the damped wave equation (joint with Matthieu Leautaud).
