We shall discuss a joint work with B. Pausader showing that for $s>0$, $s\neq 1$ there are global solutions of the 3d defocusing Nonlinear Schrödinger equation with unbounded $H^s$ orbits, in spite of the presence of conservation laws at $s=0$ and $s=1$. This shows an interesting rigidity property of the energy bound.

This talk is part of the Partial Differential Equations seminar series.
