In this talk we present some results on fluid limits from the Boltzmann equation in domains with boundary. For the Maxwell reflection condition, we prove the strong convergence of incompressible Navier-Stokes limit. This is a joint work with Nader Masmoudi. From Boltzmann equation with incoming boundary condition, we derive the acoustic system with jump condition. This is a joint work with F. Golse and K. Aoki. Both works employ the kinetic-fluid coupled boundary layers.

This talk is part of the Partial Differential Equations seminar series.
