Let A be a symmetric algebra over a field of positive characteristic. Then the Hochschild cohomology of degree 1 of A is a restricted Lie algebra. I am going to show that in general the ppower map doesn’t commute with the transfer map. In addition we will see under which hypothesis we can have the commutativity of these two maps.
