In this talk, a MathWorks engineer will demonstrate best practices for setting up and solving optimisation problems, including how to: Solve linear, nonlinear, and mixed-integer optimisation problems; Tune solver options to increase performance; Use parallel computing to speed up the optimisation process. The presentation will walk you through three case studies of optimisation applications in industry: barge container ship routing, financial portfolio optimisation and engine calibration.
