I will show that the endomorphisms of a generic model form a commutative monoid, and that every commutative monoid arises in this way. The way everything will be presented does not require you knowing what a topos, classifying topos or a theory is. The Yoneda lemma and the Yoneda embedding will be used several times. If there is time I will talk about how this is related to my research.
