A Rademacher type theorem in Lebesgue spaces is presented which involves second order approximability by families of harmonic functions. This is a key ingredient in demonstrating that an integral varifold of locally bounded first variation is rectifiable of second order. However, the focus will be on the PDE side of the problems investigated.
