In their work on linear equations in primes, Green and Tao provide a
method to obtain asymptotics for linear correlations of arithmetic
functions, provided those functions are sufficiently uniformly
behaved. In this talk we discuss how this method can be applied to the
divisor function, and possibly outline how it can be used to study the
asymptotic count of integer solutions to certain pairs of diagonal
quadratic equations.
