Unusual starting time to accommodate a special tea event after the seminar In this talk I’ll present an overview of the MRC Biostatistics Unit. I’ll describe briefly the Unit’s mission and strategy before spending the bulk of the talk on our current research activities, illustrated by examples of recent work by unit staff. I’ll conclude by saying a little about our future plans and the key problems we plan to address over the next few years. The intent is both to inform on current opportunities for statistical work in biomedicine and the impact such work can have, and to facilitate collaboration between the BSU and other statistical groups at Cambridge.
