Dr David J Harper (Head of University Relations in EMEA for Google) will provide an overview of Google’s approach to building relationships with universities which focuses on growing and sustaining the research base, support for teaching and learning, and outreach into communities through partnerships.

Google is a bottom-up, engineer-led company and Dr Harper will describe how this has influenced the design of their funding and support programmes. He will also provide an overview of these programmes, and show how these play out in practice through a small number of case studies.

Please note that this is not primarily a talk about research at Google.
