If you have a question about this talk, please contact Minor Gordon. In this talk I shall present a story of working towards my PhD thesis whilst interacting with TIME -EACM project team. I shall introduce key targets striven for by this project and position my own research goals within there. The talk will describe my approach to component-level workload characterisation given the TIME message-oriented middleware at its very different stages of design and implementation. I shall discuss challenges encountered on this way and present solutions resulted from my collaboration with colleagues in the Lab. This presentation will report key amendments I have done to the SBUS middleware code. These are to introduce QoS-awareness in order to duly complete a workload model and suitably proceed on to developing a performance model. The talk will conclude with survey and analysis of future goals to be achieved in both short-term and long-term run. This talk is part of the Computer Laboratory Opera Group Seminars series.
