Further detail
Cities and art have long been interconnected – artists have lived in cities, used visual means to depict or question cities, and have themselves played a part in the creation and change of cityscapes. This seminar series sees academics from across the world present new work on the role the city and concepts of urban space have played in art, and vice-versa, across a range of historical periods and geographical locales. Talks are held every Wednesday at 5pm in the History of Art and Architecture Graduate Centre, 4a Trumpington Street. Each will be followed by a short Q&A session and informal drinks and snacks. Members of the university and the public are welcome to attend. If you have a question about this list, please contact: Anna Blair.
