State-of-the-art mobile devices have a wide variety of processing capabilities enabled not only by computational units such as multi-core CPUs, low-power DSPs, and GPUs, but also by wireless connectivity. In this talk I will be presenting work in progress as to how we can take advantage of this rich mobile platform in order to lower the energy consumption of multiple simultaneously running sensor-based applications with (soft) real-time requirements such as keyword spotting, gesture recognition, speaker identification, etc.
