I will summarise developments over the last few years in computing four-point correlation functions of stress-energy multiplets in N=4 SYM . These in turn lead to results for amplitudes in the theory via the correlator/amplitude duality. Indeed a single correlation function contains within it information about many different amplitudes. We extract new high loop five-point amplitudes from the four-point correlators. Towards the end I hope to have time to sketch work in progress regarding twistorial/ amplituhedron-inspired approaches to correlators.
