Mathematics and Applications of Branes in String and M-theory It has recently been shown that one can define three-dimensional N=2 supersymmetric gauge theories on compact curved manifolds (certain squashed spheres and Lens spaces). Moreover, the expectation value of any BPS operator in such a theory localizes, reducing the path integral to a finite dimensional matrix integral. I will explain how to construct gravity duals to a large class of such theories, which have a large N limit. The gravitational free energy is shown to precisely match the corresponding field theory free energy, as a function of geometric parameters in the large N limit.
