The EU is preparing to introduce several new AI-related regulations, including the EU AI Act and the Digital Markets Act, which may result in significant implications for the field. We will discuss potential implications both for commercial efforts and for research, and touch on various recent ‘hot topics’ around LLMs, profitability, and various open letters.
