In recent years it has become clear that protoplanetary disks are often warped, or at least have a misaligned outer disk compared to the inner disk. Protoplanetary disks have a warped disk dynamics in the “wavelike regime”, yet they also evolve viscously over long time scales. I will talk about some of the work done in Heidelberg on warped disks, and its applications to protoplanetary disks. This work involves the derivation of the warped disk equations, the numerical integration of these, multi-dimensional models of warped disks and radiative transfer in these disks.
