The Teukolsky equations arise in the study of linearised gravity and govern certain components of the null-decomposed curvature. We develop a physical-space scattering theory for these equations on the Schwarzschild spacetime and discuss the implications of this construction to what is known in the literature as the Teukolsky-Starobinsky correspondence
