If you have a question about this talk, please contact Elena Gonzalez. We recognise that an increase in diversity brings about an increase in innovation and collaboration. Research shows that if colleagues are able to be their true selves then they are happier, more productive and have improved working relationships (Stonewall). This trans awareness session is run by Miriam Lynn (Acting Head of E&D at the University of Cambridge) and Lucian Stephenson (Chair of the University LGBT staff network). Miriam has extensive experience of working within the LGBT sector, they will both share personal and professional insights The aims of the session; • Provide a greater understanding of the experience of trans people • Unpick language and terms such as cis gender, non-binary, transgender, transitioning and gender queer in a safe and supportive way • Offer resources / post awareness session support This talk is part of the Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology occasional seminars series.
