If you have a question about this talk, please contact Mary Fortune. Whether you first aid at overnight raves or village fetes, you might come across patients who are intoxicated. A patients behavior may be unusual, but does it require medical intervention? Your patient is acting like they are drunk, but is there anything else we should rule out? We will cover the major classes of drugs, and what symptoms you can typically expect. We will also talk about some of the more serious side effects, and also discuss some of the medical conditions which present similarly to intoxication.
