Dynamo generation on small bodies

There is accumulating observational evidence for the existence of ancient dynamos on asteroids and the Moon. The mechanisms which drove these dynamos are currently poorly understood, but may include precession and/or compositional convection. I will review the observations and suggest some potential avenues for future theoretical investigations.
