TGAW01 - Crossed products and groupoid C*-algebras Non-Hausdorff groupoids arise naturally in many contexts, however, key tools from the study of Hausdorff groupoids are not always applicable. This talk looks at a Hausdorff cover introduced by Timmermann and describes how it can be used to avoid certain technical difficulties encountered in the study of non-Hausdorff étale groupoids and their C*-algebras. As an application, we will see how questions regarding amenability are reduced to the Hausdorff setting. This is based on joint work with K. A. Brix, J. B. Hume and X. Li.
