David MacKay is a wonderful speaker: lively, funny, wonderfully clear and easy to follow. Do not think that you cannot understand the problem, or that talks by professors of physics are not for you. Professors are not what they used to be!

David MacKay’s new book “Sustainable Energy – without the hot air” is a brilliantly clear description of the possible alternatives to oil. David MacKay has made his book freely available on the internet and his given this talk several times in Cambridge because it is clear that we must all get a more realistic idea of the scale of the problem, and, in his words, ‘cut the twaddle’ .

This talk is part of the Wildlife and Environment series.
