In this exciting demonstration lecture, Dr Peter Wothers explores the different properties and reactions of the gases that make up our atmosphere. What is ozone and how can it both poison us and protect us? Why is carbon dioxide a greenhouse gas? Why is nitrogen gas so unreactive? With demonstrations including indoor lightning, exploding airbags and the famous rice crispie inferno, this lecture will educate and entertain all. Warning: LOUD BANGS !
