in building design and master planning that are helping to decrease carbon emissions
towards zero.
Arup are designing the world’s first eco-city – Dongtan, China. Dongtan is to be a
completely sustainable and carbon neutral city near Shanghai. Transport, energy,
infrastructure and social issues are just a few of the aspects to be considered in
its design. This is ground-breaking work, set to pave the way for new city
developments in the future.
