Dr Hammerschlag is a Wellcome Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Centre for the Humanities and Health, King’s College London. Her research interests focus on the intersections between art and medicine in the Victorian and Edwardian periods, specifically in relation to group portraiture and patient self-portraiture.
