Semantics and Syntax: A Legacy of Alan Turing

Bored by random oracles, lattices, security reductions and games? This talk is for you! We will describe a number of practical security problems (some of which very mathematical) met while designing security systems. Subjet to available time, we will address the efficient spatial scattering of secrets, the geometrical properties of protective chip wire-meshes, a new breed of system fault protections requiring combinatorial tools, the optimal placement of scramblers, quick pre-identification and the use of secure devices to… attack other secure devices
